Today, let’s talk about one of the most dynamic widgets in Datorama’s visualization interface: the Rich Text Widget. This widget started out as a simple way to add notes to your dashboard, but has evolved into a dynamic dashboard styling tool.
While you can still use the Rich Text Widget to add notes, you can also do so much more.
Styling your dashboards
With the Rich Text Widget, you can add HTML and CSS to your dashboards to style your text or other elements any way you want. Simply click the code editor (<> symbol) to add your source code. You can add myriad HTML tags, embed iframes, and even add your own custom CSS to your widgets. For a style overhaul, dashboard-level CSS is available in advanced settings.
Want big bold text that updates based on changing parameters? You can use Datorama’s dynamic queries in a Rich Text Widget to boldly showcase the most important numbers. Let’s face it, at the end of the day most marketing KPIs correspond to a number you’re tracking over time. Any KPI is a great use case for the Rich Text Widget query feature.
